We want you to love what you buy. If something isn’t right, we’re here to make it right.

Return Windows

Our return window depends on the item:

  • Orders under $100 — 30-day returns. We cover return shipping.
  • Orders $100–$499 — 30-day returns. Buyer pays return shipping.
  • Orders $500+ (furniture, patio sets, large items) — 14-day returns. Item must be unopened and in original packaging. Buyer pays return shipping.

All returned items must be unused and in the condition you received them.

How to Start a Return

Email us at support@shopmerchantandmain.com with:

  • Your order number
  • The item(s) you’d like to return
  • The reason for the return

We’ll respond within 24 hours with instructions and a return address.

Refunds

Once we confirm your return, refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to your original payment method. You’ll receive an email confirmation when your refund has been issued. Your bank may take additional time to post the refund.

Exchanges

Want a different size, color, or product? Contact us and we’ll walk you through it. Exchanges are subject to availability.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrived damaged or defective, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the damage or defect
  • A brief description of the issue

We’ll send a replacement or issue a full refund — your choice. No return shipping required for damaged or defective items, regardless of order value.

Items That Cannot Be Returned

  • Items that have been used, assembled, or are not in original condition
  • Items returned after the return window has closed
  • Gift cards
  • Items marked as final sale
